Our Philosophy of Education
True education must have as its primary goal the bringing of the student into a right relationship with God. Everything else is secondary to and dependent upon this. Through Jesus Christ, God has made provisions for this right relationship.
Because we accept the Bible as absolute truth, our educational program has been designed to meet the needs of the whole child. We endeavor to teach our students academically, spiritually, morally, and physically. Providing intellectual advancement without spiritual and moral strength can be disastrous. We teach every subject in the light of God's Word, and our students learn to depend fully upon God in every aspect of life. An education based upon the absolutes of the Bible enables the student to know where he came from, why he is here, and where he is going.
The Bible commands parents to teach their children concerning God. Mohawk Valley Christian Academy is here to assist you in fulfilling this obligation and to provide a quality education.
Advantages of Christian Education
How Important Is Christian Education?
Although MVCA is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Little Falls, our student body represents a variety of denominations. Our purpose is not to indoctrinate the youngsters toward a particular church or denomination but to bring them into a right relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ whom to know aright is life eternal.
We present a caring Christian atmosphere through Godly teachers, a disciplined environment, and Christian curricula. God has blessed us with our faculty, staff, and facilities which make it possible for us to offer a complete program for elementary and high school students. We look forward to serving you and your family.Differences Between Public and Christian Schools
MVCA builds an atmosphere of love and discipline. In this kind of an environment, students will find the peace and security necessary for learning. All students are encouraged to reach their God given potentials.
In a time when many public schools are disavowing and running from national achievement tests mainly because of declining scores, MVCA recognizes the importance of objectively measuring the progress of each student as well as the over all performance of a school's program. Thus, one of the ways in which we measure academic achievement is by administering the nationally recognized Stanford Achievement Tests. Our over all school average has consistently been better than a year above the national grade equivalency scores.
