Already February and no snow!! February is a bit of a slow month for the ministires of First Baptist. Please try to come out and support our church and school when you can.
February 3rd - We will be gathering at Knight's Inn at 7:00 for a time of fellowship. We will have dinner consisting of pot roast with gravy, eggplant parmesan, and fresh fish for entrees. We will have entertainment by the Oak Ridge FM Quartet. They are a great group of guys with big hearts for God. We look forward to hearing them again. We expect our time to end around 9:00 pm for those of you that are coming but have little ones that will need a babysitter for the night.
February 5th - Immediately following the morning worship time, DEPM will meet up at the Tice's for some snow fun. We will have hot fire, hot cocoa, hot dogs and more. There will lots of fun things to do so plan to come and bring your friends. If you need a ride, we might be able to assist if necessary but it is a good idea to try to accomodate for yourself ahead of time. We will conclude at 3:00 pm (although some say that would be an act of God to finish by that time (0: ) We hope to see you all there!
February 12th - It's the TNTers turn to have some fun in the snow. We will meet up at the home of Russ & Jenn Winkler after the morning worship service at 1:00pm to have a great time of fun and fellowship. We will conclude our afternoon of fun at 4:00 pm. We hope to see all of you there!
Here is a brief list of our weekly going's on:
Wednesdays - Our Bible Study & Prayer time will be held in homes of some of our members. If you would like to attend, please call the church office during working hours to find one near your home. All are welcome to attend and you do not need to be a member to get involved.
Thursdays - We have choir practice starting at 7:00 pm each Thursday. The music we practice is used to glorify God during our offering time on Sunday mornings. We would love to have you come and sing with us. We also have special presentations for Christmas and Easter.
Saturdays - Every other Saturday we meet at Gorge View Lanes at 6:00 pm for bowling. This is a fun activity open to anyone who would like to join us.
